See Through God’s Eyes
Every day, we walk past people we barely notice — the man with the cardboard sign, the woman sitting on the curb, the teen asleep under a bridge. But what if you saw them the way God sees them? 💔
In this moment, I invite you to open your heart and ask: How would Jesus have looked at that person? What would He have seen?
Because here’s the truth: our God doesn’t overlook the ones society ignores. He paused for them. He touched them. He loved them. He called them His own.
A Divine Perspective
In the Gospels, we see countless moments where Jesus’s gaze lingered on someone the world dismissed. The woman at the well, the leper standing outside the camp, the widow pouring out the last of her coin — they weren’t just “characters” in a story, they were souls full of value, full of story, full of purpose.
When we begin to rise from our comfortable glance to His perspective, something shifts inside us.
• We begin to see the divine value in every person — especially those we’ve been taught to ignore.
• We realize that every soul has worth, every name has a story, and every story matters to God.
• We walk the same streets but with different eyes: not eyes of judgment, avoidance, or fear — but eyes of compassion, of connection, of Kingdom-vision.
Why It Matters
Because the posture of our heart either reflects Heaven or reinforces this world’s brokenness. When we choose to see someone only as a “problem,” a “burden,” a “scavenger,” we miss the image of God in them. We miss the call to bring dignity, to break the cycle of invisibility, to step into love.
And when we choose instead to see them as God sees them — we become part of something bigger than our routine, bigger than our own agenda. We step into the ministry of presence.
Walk With Me
Imagine you’re walking down a busy sidewalk, earbuds in, mind half-elsewhere, coffee in hand. You pass by the cardboard sign. You pass by the curb-sitter. You pass under the bridge where the teen sleeps.
What if you slowed down? What if you made eye contact? What if you greeted them with a soft “Hi, how are you?” not because you’re obligated, but because you’ve asked God: Who have you placed before me today?
And then you stay a moment longer than comfortable. You let your heart soften. You let your ears hear more than the hum of traffic. You let God’s love move you out of your comfort and into a tiny act of presence: maybe a bottle of water, maybe a kind word, maybe a remember-me–in-prayer.
Because here’s the thing: you may never know the change you ignited. But Jesus sees the step, and Heaven celebrates.
Change the Way You Walk the Street
After you watch this message — where I share from my own Colorado heart and these city-streets that have taught me face-to-face value — I believe your heart will never walk the same street the same way again.
This is what I want for you:
-
To walk with awareness.
-
To lean in with compassion.
-
To see people not as statistics or obstacles, but as beloved image-bearers of God.
-
To make small choices that ripple — maybe unseen to you, but seen to Him.
